STARS DOWN TO THE GROUND

Stars down to the ground
Shimmer, slowstep the horizon
And disappear on down
Fire falls through the sky
Trailing bright dust from the cosmos
And whispering goodbye
Peaceful with friends resting on a chunk of wood
Faces tilt to the splendor, the fire feels good
Stars down to the ground
Shimmer, slowstep the horizon
And disappear on down
The sky's a deep canyon as you lean back
Dark and light have changed place
What would be sun-baked rock is star-washed black
Every shadow a sparkling face
Shimmer, slowstep the horizon
Every shadow a sparkling face
Shimmer, slowstep the horizon
And disappear on down
This sky river is cloudy as glacier milk
Pours up from a rocky ledge
Galaxies carve the bed, lone suns drift as silt
Cascades off the earth's other edge
Shimmer, slowstep the horizon
Pours up from a rocky ledge
Shimmer, slowstep the horizon
Cascades off the earth's other edge
Shimmer slowstep the horizon ...
Stars down to the ground
